Sunday Family Day with the L.A Mamacitas
My family and I had a great time at Dream Big Children Center in Monrovia with the L.A Mamacitas (Ruby and Janet) where we celebrated the upcoming release of Sherlock Gnomes (in theaters March 23). I was so excited to attend an event with my party of five and still mingle with other mommas and their children. We also love indoor play areas and love visiting new ones in different cites and counties. Dream Big Children Center is located in downtown Monrovia and has quite to offer. As you know I have three children ages 9 months-5 years old and all three enjoyed their time there. There was something for all three. My 5 year old enjoyed the sand pit with dinosaurs the most. He spent almost his entire time there. My 2 year old Mila, loved wandering around and exploring. Her favorite area had to be the farmers market. She loves using her imagination to play. This facility was the perfect place to do that. Also, we loved that they had an infant area for the little babies. That was a hit for the dads and the tiny babies. If you are ever in the area and or if you are looking for some fun for your children visit them. for more information you can find their website here.
The mamacitas had a painting activity set up for the children. The tables had paint brushes and little aprons with gnomes that needed to be painted. Painting is ALWAYS fun, and I love any activity where my children can exercise their mobility and hand-eye coordination. Liam and Mila enjoyed mixing the colors and getting creative with their gnomes. Painting can be messy, but the aprons were a great idea. They painted for a few minutes and shortly returned to their imaginary play. I didn’t blame them; my children love exploring new indoor play areas.
Shortly after they painted I headed toward the sweet table. Angie from @pieceofcakebyangie made these cute and delicious cupcakes that were a hit with the kiddos. The display was beautiful.
The L.A Mamacitas had another successful event. These two women are building something great and you can be part of this greatness too. Follow them on instagram to keep up with their adventures and upcoming events. Sherlock Gnomes comes out on March 23rd and I hope everyone goes out and sees it. Thank you Ruby and Janet(L.A Mamacitas) for the invitation. To learn more about who are the L.A mamacitas and what is that they do click here.
